Devlog #5: Phase 2, Slow Start
Today was the day I finally traveled back from Vegas to Virginia, so I lost a good chunk of time to traveling. Given that our flight was early enough there was no point in sleeping, I haven't really had that much energy to get stuff done today, and this somewhat shows in my initial progress for Phase 2. I got a little distracted at first, since I was trying to figure out how to implement a first person controller. I know I can grab one prebuilt, but I think it's valuable to write it myself and understand exactly how it works. Once I had shelved that idea for later, I moved towards searching for assets in the Unity store that I felt I would need. I didn't get to plan much of the room layouts or item placements, sadly. Tomorrow is also a bit of a busy day, but in that time, I'm hoping to:
- Sketch out the room layouts and item placements.
And that's it. Hopefully I'll be able to do more, but I think I can accomplish that bare minimum no matter what. We'll see if I was right soon.

It technically counts as a story, I think.
