Devlog #14: Already Ahead of Schedule
WOW I don't know what the hell I was going on about last time with 5-7 days to finish constructing the rooms. As of right now the player is able to progress all the way from the beginning of room 1 to the ending of room 4. Boom, finished. This is great, because I can now reallocate that time I thought would be going towards room design to something much more important: FIXING THE UI.
It kinda blows my mind that UI elements aren't responsive by default, and I've already had to make modifications to the layout when I moved from my laptop to my desktop. I'm sure there's a way to set it up to scale properly, I'll just need to start doing some digging. Before that though, I'll spend the first part of my development tomorrow looking into setting up a start screen and scene transitions. If I have my understanding on how Unity works right, I'll have to set up the start menu as its own scene, but I can probably get away with my scene transitions being UI elements loaded at the very beginning of each room. I don't know though, I'll have to play around with it. So to reiterate, my goals for tomorrow are to:
- Add a start screen and transitions between rooms
- Look into how to make a UI that scales for different resolutions
I'm already encouraged by my smashing of the schedule from yesterday so far, let's see how long I can stay ahead of it.

It technically counts as a story, I think.
