Devlog #16: Writing Characters is Hard
So I didn't quite have the output I was hoping for today, but that's okay. I'm still way ahead of "schedule," so I can afford a slowdown on the scale of a couple days. Might even be better honestly. Like the title says, it's not as easy as I would have hoped to try and write things from different character perspectives. I think the particular difficulty with this one (and possibly with the one I'll do tomorrow as well) is that they're really unlike me in real life. And given that I don't exactly have that much writing experience under my belt, I don't know how well he comes through compared to what I envisioned of him in my head. I think much of my second draft for these characters will be working on establishing more concrete personalities/voices. You can kinda get a feel for the first two right now, but it could be better. Still, the rough draft for the second character is done now, so for tomorrow, my goal will be:
- Write the item descriptions for the 3rd character.
Tomorrow is a packed day for me class-wise, so between that and trying to sneak some work in I probably won't be able to sit down and write for my 3rd character until tomorrow night. At least it's nice and quiet with no distractions then. I'll let you know how it goes.

It technically counts as a story, I think.
